Battery life is the Achilles Heel of most of our beloved gadgets. The battery's life degrades over time and we are left, like the poor man pictured below, sitting on airport floors trying to juice up or iPods/laptops/PSPs/Blackberrys prior to departing.

And that's if you're lucky enough to find one of the few outlets in an airport that's not being used!
I have a hard enough time storing enough power in my cell phone to do voice without recharging all the time, let alone consumer multimedia content. I used a Thinkpad T40 for 2 years and, towards the end, the battery would barely get through an hour, maybe 90 minutes, without losing its charge. You can always carry an extra battery around, but those are heavy. Some planes have outlets (in biz/1st class), but you'll need an adapter for it.
Lots of people are trying to solve this problem and I hope they get very rich in solving it -- more power to them. (pun very much intended)
